Barbara Eden was born Barbara Jean Morehead on August 23rd, 1934 in Tucson, Arizona.  She is best known for playing Jeannie on the TV series 'I Dream of Jeannie' from 1965 to 1970.  Jeannie was for all practical purposes a 'Genie' and the appeal of a beautiful woman who was scantily clad and who could grant wishes, was not lost on even prepubescent boys like myself.  Like most of my childhood crushes this show originally aired before my time so I was actually watching it when it ran in syndicated reruns throughout the 1970's.  Often, I didn't necessarily even like the show, but Barbara Eden in her Jeannie outfit was something I just couldn't turn off.

Barbara Eden has tons of both Film and TV credits and recently (04/05/2011) came out with an memoir entitled 'Jeannie Out of the Bottle'.
