|
Brewed with pale pilsner malts with candy sugar added. Usually has a high, 8 - 10% alcohol content. In addition to the malt, hops and alcohol their flavor is often derived from the strains of yeast used and spices added. The name, 'Tripel', is derived from the process in which it is made where the brewers use triple the amount of malt as they would to make a standard Trappist ale. |
