Wow, my original rating of this Czech Pilsener was so off. I don't know what was wrong the day/days I originally reviewed this,... Had the beer gone bad? ...or was my palate fubared? At any rate, I've revisited this beer and the grassy, grainy malt flavors do come through. As soon as you open it, you smell them; but the flavors come through in the actual taste as well, and they are terrific. The malt is there in both feel and taste. It does have a bitterness on the back end, and it did at times linger, but overall because of the wonderful barley malt front end, I really, really enjoyed this beer.
