This American IPA is very smooth and of course, very hoppy.  It's very piney and perhaps a little flowery and earthy.  Despite the large amount of hops and dominating hop flavor, it's still relatively smooth somehow staying away from over-bearing bitterness.  The mouth-feel is a low medium skewing towards light while the carbonation is thin.  I suppose the reason I don't like this more is there isn't much in the way of balance.  No malt flavor or feel seems to come through, it's like liquid hops.  Now, as far as liquid hops go, I suppose it's pretty good, but, personally, I'd like a little at least attempt at balance.
