Bud Light Platinum
|
If you ever thought to yourself, "Man, I'd sure like a beer that has less flavor than Bud Light, but maybe a little essence of Malt Liquor about it", then have I got a beer for you. This American Macro Lager is very lightly flavored, what is there is a vague essence of Malt Liquor as well as the essence of beer that one might find in a Light Lager that has been watered down. Luckily for Bud Light Platinum there are no 'off flavors', in a beer this lightly flavored that is quite a feat. That being said, there really is not much there. I'm starting to think that the big breweries don't even like beer as they seem to spend a shit ton of money to remove virtually all the beer-like flavors from their products. It seems to me it would be cheaper for them to buy some club soda, add some vodka, and call is Bud Zero. I must admit, I saw the cobalt blue colored glass bottles and somehow thought this would be better than Bud Light, but much like with Budweiser Select, this beer is actually worse. The body is very thin, as is the flavor, I suppose the carbonation is medium, maybe a little less. Wow, what a bloody shame.
