Excellent Beer.  This Belgian Strong Dark Ale is absolutely one of the best beers I've ever had.  I feel like a compete piece of crap, for giving it a 10 instead of 11.  So, why didn't I give it a perfect score?   Sometimes, in some sips, I could taste the Alcohol burn.  In Chimay's defense, it was subtle especially considering the whopping 9% alcohol content this beer has.  Seriously, this is one of the best beers I've ever had, there is no way my primitive words can do this beer justice. It had a full mouth-feel and that carbonation that seemingly only the Belgians can do where the carbonation feels abundant, yet somehow the bubbles feel so tiny that it ends up seeming both highly and lowly carbonated at once.  The flavor, was smooth and subtle.  I LOVE smooth and subtle; not too bitter, not too sweet, yet it had full flavor.  I really can't say more as I know my unpolished palate and prose just won't do this beer justice.
