This is classified as an American Brown Ale but I must say, it didn't taste quite like any American Brown Ale I'd had in the past.  That being said, it was quite delicious.  It had a full rich mouth-feel which I almost always love.  The flavor was actually predominately hops, in fact, the hop flavor to me was more reminiscent of an American IPA than an American Brown Ale.  What really differentiates this from an American IPA, to me, was the malt flavor definitely had a different tilt.  The malt backbone had a distinctly different 'roasty' flavor.  It was very pleasant.  Overall, it is on the sour side due to the hops, but still, the malt backbone was there and the total effect was definitely something I enjoyed.  It has a lively carbonation and the 7% alcohol is hidden well.
