Foothills Cottonwood ENDO India Pale Ale

This American IPA had a fairly full mouth-feel which was nice.  The flavor however, I thought was overshadowed by its bitterness.  In addition, the bitterness lingered and grew more bitter as time went on.  The hop flavor, when it did poke through, was a kind of piney and floral mix.  Malt flavor didn't seem to really come through, of course in an American IPA one doesn't really expect malt to shine anyway.  So for me, the reason I don't like this/rate this better is that the hop flavor and hop bitterness seemed to be competing for dominance and bitterness appeared to win.  I'm not a big fan of beers whose 'flavor' is primarily bitterness.  Don't get me wrong, this is far from the most bitter beer I've ever had, I'm not even sure it's in the top 10 or even 50 maybe even 100.  But within itself, bitterness seemed to be the predominate 'flavor' and that's just not my bag.
