This American Pale Ale has a nice full mouth-feel and rather traditional American Pale Ale flavor.  Obviously the emphasis here is on hops, but Mirror Pond Pale Ale is very smooth in it's hoppiness which I find pleasant.  The hops are a mixture of earthiness and pine.  Every once in awhile I taste an essence of grapefruit peel, but still this beer is really smooth for an American Pale Ale and it is fairly balanced even though malt is clearly not featured.  (Not that you would expect it to be in an American Pale Ale).  Very nice and deserves a better rating than the one I gave it.
