This Saison was more than cloudy it had big chunks floating in it.  I let it rest and many of them settled to the bottom of the glass.  The flavor was very interesting/surprising as it had an essence of cider taste about it.  This beer is really understated.  Having said that, there seems to be a lot going on, there is some fruitiness like apple, some yeastiness and earthiness as well as grassiness with a slightly bitter finish.  Not as dry as other Saisons I've tried (That I remember).  All these flavors really meld and dovetail together smoothly; probably, in part because of the aforementioned understated quality or subtleness of this beer.  This brew doesn't have any big in your face flavors, but instead is almost a cornucopia of subtle flavors.  The mouth-feel is medium skewing full and the carbonation is interesting as it is kind of that fine Belgian type so although I'd say it is medium, it comes off as a bit lighter.  Based on the description so far I suppose you'd think I loved this beer, but in addition to those other flavors, there is a slight funkiness which I think is actually part of the Saison style, it's a lot like the funkiness I find in Lambics.  Lambics however have such strong sour and sometimes sweet elements that the funkiness is often easily forgiven.  In this subtler beer the funkiness holds it own, and it's not really my cup of tea.  Still a good beer though (and probably better than I'm giving it credit for).
