This is the lightest Oktoberfest beer I've ever seen. It was a pale golden yellow and slightly cloudy. It also tasted unlike any Oktoberfest I've ever had, instead of toasted or biscuity malt flavor, it had a grainy - grassy malt flavor. There was a nice full mouth-feel. Really, if it didn't say Oktoberfest on the bottle and if BeerAdvocate didn't classify this as an Oktoberfest, I would have thought it was a Munich Helles Lager. I'm not rating this based on how well it stays within it's 'style' or not, just on how much I liked it,... and I liked it quite a bit. The only thing that keeps it from getting an even higher rating is a bit of twangy bitterness in the aftertaste.
