Magic Hat Howl

This Schwarzbier is heavy on roasted, charred flavor.  So much so that the back end has a bitterness that I believe is really roasted malt rather than hops.  The mouth-feel is medium but skewing thin and possibly a bit slick with carbonation that is medium to light.  The finish is slightly dry, which sort of fits nicely, almost like an Extra Stout Light, if there was such a thing.  It's a nice beer, but somehow, despite all the roasted malt, it comes off as one dimensional, a bit of a one trick pony you might say.  I really wish there was either more fullness in the mouth-feel and flavor profile, or strangely enough, less roasted malt flavor.  As is, it sort of wears me out without satisfying.  My kingdom for a Kostritzer.
