This American Macro Lager tastes like an American Macro Lager, with a little extra. The problem is the 'little extra', for me anyway, is a bad thing. I'm not sure what the flavor is, but amongst the typical American Macro Lager flavor profile is a subtle something extra, perhaps it's an adjunct. I do think it tastes a little like dirt. Regardless, I'm not a big fan. This beer has carbonation that is medium to low and a thin watery mouth-feel to go with its thin watery flavor. And actually, it's thin enough that if someone told me this was a Light Lager as opposed to an American Macro Lager, I wouldn't doubt it as it is quite thin. I know that many if not most people prefer the American Macro Lager and Light Lager styles to other beers, but even compared to other beers within those styles, I think there are much better choices out there. I gave this a three, but for me it definitely skews towards the bottom end of three.
