This American Amber Ale is smoothly sour with a decent mouth-feel.  It has a very, very light malt flavor so the dominant flavor is an almost lemony hop taste.  It isn't real bitter which is nice.  There also seems to be an essence of fruit and earthiness.  Lost Dog is slightly dry as well.  This all gives it a tiny Belgian or English bent, but the sour hoppiness with just a shadow of malt flavor definitely reminds one of California. The carbonation is low which adds to its smoothness.  Overall the 7.2% alcohol is hidden very well.  The slight earthiness sort of interested me, but ultimately, meh.
