Pyramid Snow Cap

This Winter Warmer actually tastes rather Stout-y. It is heavy on the roasted malt so much so that it has that kind of 'burnt bitterness' that I taste in Stouts. Although it does seem to have some spice to it, compared to other Winter Warmers, the spice in Snow Cap seems to take a definite back seat to the malt and hops. Yep, there is hop bitterness in Snow Cap as well as the aforementioned 'burnt bitterness' so despite clearly having mucho malt, this beer skews towards the bitter-side. The Mouth-Feel borders on full with carbonation that quite frankly I can't nail down, it seems low yet it is pronounced. Perhaps I'm mistaking a little alcohol burn for carbonation. At any rate, ultimately this beer just isn't for me as I don't find it smooth and although one could argue there is complexity here, it's just not a mix that entices me to come back for more.
