RedHook Mudslinger Spring Ale
|
This American Brown Ale has a unique taste with carbonation that skewed from medium to high. The flavor was kind of a full caramel malt taste that is slightly sweet. It finishes with an interesting twang which I assume is hop related. Mud Slinger is essentially smooth, but the carbonation gets a bit prickly and the body is relatively thin. Although I did find it unique, I'm not sure I really appreciated the acidic twang in the finish especially since the more I drank this beer, the more the twangy finish seemed to assert itself, so by the end, it was more like an American Pale Ale than an American Brown Ale.
