Samuel Adams Alpine Spring

Overall, I found this Keller Bier / Zwickel Bier to be lacking flavor.  Although, it does have flavor, a kind of lemon peel flavor,... so citrus-y with a little dirtiness.  Other than that, it seemed largely vacant as far as flavor was concerned.  It is lightly carbonated with a mouth-feel skewing light.  I suppose out of all the beers I've had, the beer this most reminded me of was actually, Samuel Adams Summer Ale, but without the offensive overwhelming-ness of the dirty type flavor.  Although it makes no difference to the rating whatsoever, I find it funny that they attach the name 'Spring' to this beer, and here it is on the shelves in January as personally, as lightly flavored and bodied as this beer is, I would think that it would go over better in the Summer and with a more 'summery' marketing scheme as this beer seems too light for 'spring', or the 'winter' in which they apparently actually release it.  (Although for all I know, this is a year-round beer for them, although most beers with a 'season' in their name are not that way.)  Personally, I think I'd rather have a Bud Light.
