Samuel Adams White Ale
|
This Witbier was shallow, dirty and over carbonated. Seriously, when there are Witbiers out there like Blanche di Bruxelles and Hoegaarden, I can't imagine anyone preferring this. (Although, no doubt that some do.) Still, this beer had mostly an odd prickly emptiness that was often broken up with a flavor reminiscent of dirt. Maybe it is one of the 'spices' they add, but if so, that is a 'spice' I can live without. I would think that the six pack I purchased was old, but since this is a seasonal purchased when the seasonal was released it seems unlikely. (Although, I suppose it is possible the Distributor or Store Owner held this over from last year.) |
