This Oatmeal Stout is fairly smooth with a pleasant roasted malt flavor and mild bitterness (mild for a stout).  It's a nice beer but, for me, falls short of greatness due to an overall thinness.  It just doesn't seem as rich as it should, and although the light flavoring is definitely pleasant, without richness or complexity, it kind of gets old fast for me.  In addition, the mild bitterness lingers and seems to accumulate making each sip a little more on the bitter side.  I like that it is basically balanced but, it seems to be lacking the luxurious mouth-feel and rich complex flavors of some other Oatmeal Stouts that are out there.
