Shiner 103 Wild Hare Pale Ale
|
This American Pale Ale has to be one of the better beers out of Shiner. It is very smooth and definitely has some citrusy hops. I actually really appreciate beers that have flavor, yet don't punch you in the face with it. Shiner Wild Hare Pale Ale fits in that category as it definitely has flavor, tons more than say Bud Light Platinum, but yet it remains subtle enough that it doesn't attack the palate. The mouth-feel is medium and if it leans any direction, it is towards the thinner side, but maybe more importantly seems a little slick. The carbonation is medium but maybe a little light. One of the things that I like about this beer is that it has a malt component as well. This is something that may piss off hop heads, but I tend to like beers with some balance. |
