St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout

This Oatmeal Stout from McAuslan Brewing is smooth.  So smooth; especially for a stout.  The flavor is, well, stout-y,... only very much richer and smoother than your average stout.  It has that roasted malt flavor, with that burnt bitterness and while that could probably be used to describe most stouts; I can't tell you how rich yet smoothly flavored this one is.  Plus it is coupled with a nice almost velvety mouth-feel.  Honestly, I don't know if beer really gets better than this.  What I love so much about it is that it has delicious flavor, yet doesn't go crazy with intense flavors that attack the palate.  This beer remains smooth and easy drinking.  Besides the obvious roasted malt, there seems to be a subtle essence of coffee and essence of smokiness as well.  Damn, this is good beer.
