Wasatch Polygamy Porter
|
This American Porter is noticeably thin in mouth-feel. Perhaps should be in a new category of Porter Light. That being said, the flavor is decent. There is some chocolate and a hint of coffee. It's not very hoppy which seems very unusual for an 'American Porter'. I'm not sure I personally missed the hops, but it did seem to be missing something, if nothing else it was missing, More. More body, more flavor it could probably even use a little more carbonation and yes, probably some more hops. But, that all being said, it certainly isn't a bad beer, in fact, I like the flavors, I was just left wanting more as although nicely flavored, it seemed thin and watery to the point that the flavors actually seemed a bit artificial. But, like I said, I did like it, I did enjoy it, I just think there should have been more to it. (I'm probably slightly over-rating this based on my affinity for the style and the fact that you could probably session the hell out it.)
