Day 38 Seeing my Processes - ps -A

I finally found out how to see my processes under Ubuntu.  I had been opening a terminal and typing, ps.  Because, that's what worked under Puppy Linux.  However, a little googling uncovered that under Ubuntu 8.04 (and probably other versions as well) the command to see all your process is....

ps -A

So, after opening a terminal and typing,  ps -A...

Terminal ps -A

Bam, all my processes!  I'm such a newb.  At any rate, now that I see there is so many that they don't even all fit on one page, I ought to find out which ones I don't need and how to go about stopping them from starting up every time.  But, I'll leave that for another time.
